Terri Ortado is a professional calligrapher, designer of letterforms and illustrator with over 17 years experience who lives in Sydney, Australia. After being awarded the Australian Society of Calligraphers Scholarship Terri went on to complete the Diploma in Western Calligraphy; and has studied with Australian and international calligraphers. Since the inception of her own freelance studio - Design Calligraphy - her work has been shown in exhibitions, won awards, and has been commisioned by both globally recognized corporate clients and for private collections locally and internationally.

Whether it is using traditional or modern letters, sripts or materials, each piece is individually designed to give a liveliness and expression to the letters, in a customised design.

If you desire that treasured poem, or words of personal significance expressed in a calligraphic work of art, Terri will work with you from concept to completion.

Similarly Terri can design a work to display your corporate mission statement to your clients, or to present company awards of recognition or service to valued employees or suppliers.

Your event invitation and stationery, whether it be for a wedding, birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion will make a statement about yourself, and the celebration you are inviting your guests to. Whether it be finishing your printed invitations or stationery with invitee names and addresses to compliment and enhance; or the design and printing of a truly unique and individual invitation and complementary stationery to meet your desire we offer a service to meet your needs.

Her creative letterforms provide a distinct company identity for logos, corporate stationery, packaging, publishing, film, TV or web design.

A boutique range of gifts catering to children and adults; offered for sale as original works, or as archival quality, limited edition prints. Or perhaps a smaller work of calligraphic art in the form of a unique, hand made greeting cards for that someone special.

Terri also offers creative workshops for corporate team events and social groups. Participants choose a theme. After a choice of theme, and some instruction, participants create their own works of calligraphic art to keep using a variety of tools and mediums.
